Cheshire Dogs’ Home Fun Day proves Our annual Cheshire Dogs’ Home Fun Day and Dog Show is always one of our best attended events. Amazingly the weather was kind to us on the day, helping create one of our most successful Fun Days ever. Hundreds of people turned up, along with quite a few ex-residents of the Dogs Home, which was lovely to see. Many of them joined in the various dog classes that we held, and we must confess that at times judging the classes impartially was a challenge, but we rose to it! There was a great selection of stall holders, from the usual doggie treats and paraphernalia to jewellery stalls and even a tarot reader. To keep people going throughout the day, there were plenty of food stalls where they could buy a tasty treat or two. For the little ones, as well as fun rides, there was a clown “mixing and mingling” with the crowds. The kennels opened their doors to the public at their usual time of one o’clock, so they could have a look around.
