An innovative approach to health risk management has been pivotal to PMI Health Group being shortlisted for the 2010 Health Insurance Awards, the company has revealed.
The Cheshire-based business has reached the finals of ‘Best Group Risk Intermediary’ and ‘Business Initiative Intermediary of the Year’ categories – hot on the heels of its shortlisting for the 2010 Cover Excellence Awards.
“PMI Health Group has always sought to adopt a progressive approach to its service offerings and it’s extremely rewarding when this commitment is recognised by the industry,” said Rachael Floyd, Operations Director, PMI Health Group.
At the start of the year, PMI Health Group launched PMI Global – a pioneering new service offering an integrated package of insurance and healthcare support for employees abroad.
The company’s Group Income Protection service meanwhile is supported by nurse-led claims management, which sets out to lower premiums and return staff to work at the earliest opportunity. Registered nurses liaise with employers, their HR functions and absent employees, advising on the most appropriate and prompt treatment available for his or her illness.
The Health Insurance Awards, hosted by ‘Health Insurance & Protection’ magazine, recognises the achievements of companies operating in the health and protection industry.
The winners will be announced at a gala awards ceremony at the Grosvenor House on London’s Park Lane on October 21.
