YOU to all our fantastic individual and corporate volunteers who have supported us on all these positive projects in 2015. THANK MARKS & SPENCERS CLEAN SWEEP As part of the Marks & Spencers Spark Something Good initiative, two teams of staff and customers spent two days refurbishing the laundry room and staff rest-room. They cleaned, painted and decorated these previously neglected and uninviting areas, making them much more comfortable and welcoming for the staff and volunteers. They also funded the purchase of new storage furniture for staff clothing. WE REALLY COULDN BRITISH GAS DIGGING FOR DOGS An enthusiastic team from British Gas dug, planted and paid for all the plants in the new memorial garden at Manchester Dogs’ Home. Created at no cost, the garden is designed to offer visitors to the Home a place of peace and tranquility. Special thanks go to Employee Volunteering, Penny Netherwood, Giants Seat Nursery, J & S Landscapes, Mark from Greenhand Garden Services and Emma Finch for photography. The garden is in its infancy but will grow with the Home. 1 4 N O RT H E R N TA I L S W I N T E R 2 0 1 6
