2016 Manchester Dogs’ Home Go Walkies! The sun was shining, the bacon was sizzling and doggies and humans alike were ready for the 2016 Manchester Dogs’ Home Go Walkies! Held on the 22nd of May, the event was a fantastic success with a huge variety of dogs and their humans walking around the park to raise money for the Home. The Debdale Park Sea Cadets did a fantastic job of marshalling the course making sure the water bowls were constantly full for thirsty doggies and also helping out on the stalls. Live music came in the form of Jess Kemp, a local up-andcoming acoustic artist, and there were plenty of stalls and activities for everyone to enjoy including a tombola, a fun dice game and a kids activity tent. The day concluded with a fun dog show which saw a gorgeous Staffordshire bull terrier and their young handler being crowned a very well deserved best in show. Over £1000 was raised for the charity on the day, a huge thank you to all the staff and volunteers that helped make the day such a success and also to all the fantastic members of the public and their four-legged friends for joining us!
